Professor Ashraf Alzaabi is a distinguished Respiratory Physician and healthcare leader. A graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (1997), he completed his training at the University of Toronto (2000–2006), earning dual board certification from Canada and the USA.
Currently Director of the Defence Health Organization at the UAE Ministry of Defence (since 2024), elected ETS President in 2019, and full professor at UAE University since 2018 — with over 40 publications in asthma, COPD, and sleep disorders.
Dr. Mahboub is a distinguished triple-board certified physician with an MBA from Wolverhampton University. As Head of the Pulmonary Medicine Unit, he combines clinical excellence with healthcare leadership and innovation.
Co-Editor for Annals of Thoracic Medicine, author of several respiratory medicine textbooks, and multiple-award recipient from Dubai Health Authority for clinical and research excellence.
Dr. Rachel Kaminski is a UK-trained Consultant Pulmonologist, graduate of Imperial College London with a BSc in Respiratory Science from the Royal Brompton Hospital. Former Respiratory Consultant and Educational Lead at Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust.
A published author in The Lancet, she serves on international advisory boards and lectures globally on severe asthma and COPD management.
